The CMQM 2021 conference will be a forum for the wider UK Condensed Matter Physics community as part of the annual CMQM series. The conference will cover topics of current and general importance in condensed mater physics ranging from Superconductivity to Magnetism, from Non-equilibrium physics to Topological Materials, and from Surface physics to Semiconductors.

The conference will be held as a hybrid event with local and remote participants and presentations. The local meeting at the University of Bristol will support remote and local contributions and will be streamed for online participants. The conference will host plenary talks, parallel sessions, and scientific posters as well as industry exhibitions.

The CMQM is supported by numerous groups of the Institute of Physics:

  • Superconductivity
  • Magnetism
  • Low Temperatures
  • Thin Films and Surfaces
  • Theory of Condensed Matter
  • Nanoscale Physics and Technology Group
